JANESVILLE— Daniel C. Dan Wastak, 19, of 729 Harding St., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. He was born in Janesville on Feb. 23, 1987, the son of Jimmy and Jacqueline (Gregoire) Wastak. Dan attended St. Williams Catholic School and graduated from Parker High School in 2005, where he was involved with FFA. He was employed at Lear Manufacturing until this past January and was currently attending Blackhawk Technical College. Dan was a member of St. William Catholic Church and loved to snowmobile. He enjoyed hunting and working on trucks. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Jackie Wastak of Janesville; a sister, Hannah and a brother, David, both at home; maternal grandfather, Skip Gregoire of Fort Atkinson, WI; paternal grandmother, Nancy Antiporek of Milton; special cousins, Sidney and Paige Antiporek and Mitchell Wastak; girlfriend, Brittany Kotthaus; best friend, Matt Woodman; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Fr. John Auby presiding. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Dan was a good friend of my sons when he was younger. He was a wonderful young man and was always thinking of others. he will truly be missed by all that he touched.
