HI My name is Chronic and im an Addict to many things. This is a battle for me this ADHD. It inhibits me from donig many daily things on time. Its also a challenge for me in school and last year I failed a major class because I cant keep up with routing, fail to remember safety measures with patients.... I m retaking the course but this time I decided to take my Ritallin. One of my addictions is to rush feelings. Ill get addicted to any upper or high feeling with out the down (except booze) .. Ritallin has been a problem because having them in the house has caused me to high on them. I have taken several at a time in the hopes of a high.. .. Its been about 2 months I have not taken more then my prescription but the thought is always there. There is a good side. I have been taking them regularly at the right dose for my school and homework, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Im actually functionable. I dont raise my hand as much in class and disturb everyone by my incessant talking. I dont make as much mistakes. I m much more concentrated. Thanks

First ofl all welcome to our forum. I am glad that you have decided to join us here. im an Addict to many things. this is somethig that i can truly truly understand. It seems many people that have add issues also have issues with addiction problems. I know in my case if I can be addicted to it, then I need to stay away. About your fears of using your persription to get high of get the rush, I hve that in the back of my mind also. I just really need to be mindfull of that and when I really think I am on the edge of abusing them I give them to someone I trust to make sure I only get what I need. I am glad they are helping you with school. I am on adderall and it really helps me at work. I too struggle with safty issues and not making sure things are don right. hey thank you again for joining and posting. hope you stick around and join in some more. :D
